2010: Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball and American Culture, held at the National Baseball Hall of Fame: Panel member, “Women Who Write Baseball”  

2010: New York City, met with members of the New York Baseball Giants Nostalgia Society to discuss my biography of Sal Maglie

2010: Presented talk to ALPHA--Friends of Antiquity, a group at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, entitled “Majesty and Mystery: Some Myths about the Colosseum and the Column of Trajan”

2011: Brooklyn Historical Society, Brooklyn, NY, discussed the enmity and later friendship of Dodger right fielder Carl Furillo and Sal Maglie, in conjunction with an exhibit about the Brooklyn (now Los Angeles) Dodgers

2011: Interviewed by John Vorperian for cable TV sports show, "Beyond the Game," in White Plains, NY, about the Maglie biography.

2013: Presentation at the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago, based on material from my most recent book, "An Art Lover's Guide to Florence." The title of the talk is: "Webs of Desire and Violence: Power Politics and Sexual Politics in Three Works of Florentine Renaissance Sculpture."

2013: "Webs of Desire and Violence" presented at Palazzo Tornabuoni (October 17) and at the British Institute (November 13), both in Florence.
